Why take the Export Readiness Self-Assessment?
Taking RMB's online Export Readiness
Assessment will give you an opportunity to ascertain your export
potential identify priorities and determine the next possible step
as you prepare for a foreign market. If you already have started
exporting or export-development activities, you will be provided
with guidance on where you need to go and what you need to do to
export more successfully.
How does the Export Readiness Self-Assessment
work, and how long will it take?
Your export readiness will be determined after you provide answers
to 17 questions about your present operations, attitudes, products
and markets. Each question appears in sequence, and several possible
alternative answers are offered.
After all questions have been answered, you will
be provided with immediate feedback in the form of an export readiness
"score" and a detailed, point-by-point diagnosis.The entire
assessment will take no more than 10 minutes of your time.
What feedback should I expect
to receive from the assessment?
The assessment addresses your export readiness
in a number of areas, and suggests specific steps you should take
to build on your strengths and overcome challenges. In some cases
you will be advised to follow-up by speaking with one of RMB's mentors,
while in other cases you will be provided with directions to other
RMB resources or invited to participate in one of our online training
programs to further develop your knowledge base and skills in that
area.
How should I answer the questions?
Please be candid when answering all of the questions.
This tool is to help you in your exporting efforts, the assessment
will only be useful if it is based on your best evaluation of how
your firm is doing at the moment ... not on how you would like it
to be performing.
Follow up:
Once you have completed the export readiness
assessment and feel that you have prepared your company to begin
exporting, you will be provided with access to a RMB mentor who
will provide you with 20 minutes of one-on-one feedback and directions
for further development.
